Synopsis
Lila’s nights unfold on the same luminous shore where bioluminescent waves pulse like heartbeats and the sky lingers in perpetual twilight. Drawn toward a silhouette she can never reach, she finally turns to face herself wearing Kai’s goggles—the boy who vanished the summer they vowed to meet again at sunset. Their dream meetings stretch longer each night, revealing fragments of a summer romance that may be the key to bringing him back or the final act of farewell. As waking life frays, Lila begins testing the dream’s rules, carrying objects between worlds and questioning whether the reflection is memory, ghost, or her own unresolved self. The beach starts bleeding into daylight, forcing her to decide if love means rescue or release before the golden hour collapses entirely. In the final convergence she must choose: dive into the reflection to pull Kai through or turn away so both can finally rest, the choice determining whether the beach remains a prison or becomes a bridge.
The story
Lila’s routine nights on the golden beach introduce the unreachable silhouette and the first shock of meeting her own reflection in Kai’s goggles, establishing her grief and the promise they once made.
Dream encounters lengthen as fragments of their lost summer surface; Lila experiments with carrying objects between worlds while the beach begins invading her waking hours, raising the stakes of memory versus reality.
Lila confronts the reflection in a final golden-hour standoff, choosing whether to pull Kai through or let the beach dissolve, granting both release and closure.

EXT. GOLDEN BEACH - DUSK Endless sand glows under a sky that refuses night. Bioluminescent waves roll in slow, turquoise pulses. LILA (28), barefoot in a white sundress, walks toward a distant SILHOUETTE. Wind carries faint laughter. LILA (whispering) Kai? Wait— She runs. The silhouette never grows closer. She stops, frustrated, turns. Her own face stares back—same eyes, but wearing cracked aviator goggles. The reflection smiles sadly. REFLECTION You always forget the last part. Lila touches the goggles. Her fingers meet glass. The waves brighten, revealing a single name written in wet sand: “Sunset.” The reflection fades. Lila wakes on her bedroom floor, sand between her toes.
